Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Profession: Pharmacy Specialty: Pharmacy Tech Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:00 - 14:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: PA state license required Certifications: IV Certification, CPhT, Chemo/Hazardous Drug Certification preferred Must-Have: - IV trained and experienced with hazardous and non-hazardous preparations - Experience with EPIC and Pyxis systems - Ability to prepare chemo and IV mixtures Description: Ideal candidates will be IV trained and experienced with hazardous and non-hazardous preparations. Candidates who meet the qualifications will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine fit. If the clinical evaluation passes and aligns with guidelines, the candidate will be sent to the manager for the final decision. Manager will conduct interviews. Candidates must be available for a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, between 6 AM and 7 PM. There will be a requirement to work every 3rd or 4th Saturday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Candidates should be prepared to provide care for COVID patients. The facility is tobacco and fragrance-free. Local candidates are encouraged to apply, although the position is open to all qualified applicants. COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are required. Maximum request for time off is limited to 7 days. Candidates may float to nearby locations as needed. Strong skills in aseptic technique, automation problem resolution, and maintaining inventory processes are necessary. Candidates should have experience in inpatient acute care settings. Selected individuals will have expected proficiency in preparing sterile and non-sterile products. The daily census includes various age groups, from neonates to geriatrics. Candidates will work in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment. This role will involve direct patient care within a clinical pharmacy setting. Additional information will be communicated during the interview process.
