Job Title: Epic Application Analyst, Pharmacist Profession: Pharmacist Specialty: - Duration: Direct Hire Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm (On Call - Rotation) Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: 2-3+ years of relevant Epic Analyst experience License: Licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy as a Doctor of Pharmacy Certifications: Epic Beacon Certification Epic Willow Certification Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy or Pharm.D Description: Application Analysts - Pharmacist(s) have primary responsibility for system build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of assigned applications. They are responsible for obtaining and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the software functionality and acquiring knowledge of the workflows relevant to assigned applications to be implemented on the system. Jointly with each other and with assigned department representatives, they participate in future state workflow review and development. They build the system to support the new workflow working collaboratively in workgroups and across interdisciplinary teams to accomplish these goals as a team. They participate in application design, validation, and advanced design sessions within assigned areas. They design and implement future-state workflows by interacting with department representatives to analyze needs and translate these into system design. They design, build, and validate the application to conform to desired workflows. They participate in testing as developed and directed by the team and document test results. They support end-users onsite during go-live events and provide on-call support on a scheduled basis. They maintain system documentation to enable ongoing support. They review and test new builds and releases prior to implementation in the production environment. They identify potential system enhancement needs. Independent judgment is required in making decisions from many diversified alternatives, subject to general review in final stages only. They coordinate activities with others and lead peers in the same work performed without supervisory responsibilities. They work directly with patients and/or customers and with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. They work frequently with individuals at the Director level or above. Ability to travel as required for training and to remote work sites as needed is necessary. Required skills include basic computer skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team across multiple disciplines. The individual must be able to establish and meet work schedules within limited time frames and under tight deadlines. Analytical ability to solve both business and technical problems is essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. Preferred skills and experience are not specified.
