Travel: Pharmacist – Acute Care Pharmacy (Evenings)

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Evenings: 2:30 PM – 12:30 AM | 7 on / 7 off (Thursday–Wednesday, may vary) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize EPIC Dispense Prep to verify and check medications, including IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, and other pharmacy products
  • Verify and check kits, crash carts, prepacked items, and ensure code carts have been restocked correctly
  • Coordinate and oversee workflow within the central pharmacy during evening shift operations
  • Oversee and redirect pharmacy technicians as needed to ensure timely completion of pertinent tasks
  • Serve as the primary pharmacist managing central pharmacy operations while other pharmacists focus on order review within the EHR
Required Qualifications
  • Active Missouri Pharmacist Licensure required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience; new graduates will be considered
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 – April 1 (declinations not accepted)
  • Ability to work weekends and on-call as required by the facility
  • Willingness to float as required by the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with EPIC pharmacy systems, particularly Dispense Prep
  • Prior experience in a central or acute care pharmacy setting
  • Comfort overseeing pharmacy technician workflow in a fast-paced environment
