Key Responsibilities- Verify and process inpatient medication orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform order entry and clinical review of medication therapies including IV preparations, antibiotics, and pain-controlled analgesia
- Identify and manage drug interactions to ensure patient safety
- Document and chart clinical activities using EPIC electronic health records system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support optimal patient medication management
- Adhere to all inpatient pharmacy protocols, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; PharmD or RPh designation required
- Active Virginia pharmacy license (or VA-recognized compact license) must be in hand at time of submission – no exceptions
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience required
- Demonstrated experience with IV therapy, pain-controlled analgesia, antibiotic stewardship, drug interaction review, and medication order verification
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system required – no exceptions
- No prior license or background hits will be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with chemotherapy, anticoagulant therapy, pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing
- Prior travel pharmacy experience preferred
