Position is located in the Acute Care Pharmacy. The role includes coordinating workflow in the central pharmacy. Primary responsibilities involve checking medication products, including IVs, premade IVs, creams, and insulin pens. The pharmacist will also check that code carts have been restocked correctly. Training will consist of 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the capability of the pharmacist. Expect to oversee the workflow of pharmacy technicians and occasionally redirect them as necessary. The work environment consists of a central pharmacy with multiple pharmacists and technicians. Candidate performance will likely lead to extensions beyond the initial 13 weeks. This position involves primary oversight of central pharmacy operations while other pharmacists focus on order review within the electronic health record.
