This contract-to-hire role involves working in a dynamic pharmacy setting, ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications while providing valuable counsel on medication management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist
  • Accept and dispense prescription medications
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
  • Ensure the supply of medicines is within the law
  • Verify the suitability of prescribed medicines for patients
  • Maintain confidential records of all patients
  • Advise patients on how to take medicines, potential reactions, and address questions
  • Consult on prescription and non-prescription medications regarding storage, dosage, side effects, and interactions
  • Provide services such as smoking cessation and blood pressure measurement
  • Educate patients on handling medical devices
  • Compound and prepare medications and sterile solutions
  • Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
  • Maintain pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory
  • Identify and communicate patient drug-related problems with healthcare practitioners
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other pharmacy staff

Requirements of the Pharmacist
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree required
  • Licensed by the state pharmacy board
