Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist for a travel contract position in Fridley, MN. This role involves ensuring the safe dispensing of medications and maintaining compliance with legal standards. As a Pharmacist, you will be working in a dynamic environment, providing essential services to patients and collaborating closely with healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist
  • Accept and dispense prescription medications
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
  • Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law
  • Ensure that the medicines prescribed to patients are suitable
  • Accurately maintain confidential records of all patients and pharmacy files
  • Advise patients about medicines, including usage and potential reactions
  • Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications
  • Offer services such as smoking cessation and blood pressure management
  • Educate patients on handling of medical devices
  • Compound medications for external or internal use
  • Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
  • Supervise pharmacy staff members including technicians and clerks
  • Maintain inventory on pharmaceutical and medical supplies
  • Identify and communicate drug-related problems with healthcare teams
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists

Requirements of the Pharmacist
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree required
  • Licensed by the state pharmacy board
  • IV experience would be a plus (not a requirement)
