Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist
  • Accept and dispense prescription medications
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
  • Ensure the supply of medicines is within the law
  • Ensure medicines prescribed are suitable for patients
  • Maintain confidential records of patients and pharmacy files
  • Advise patients on medication usage, reactions, and questions
  • Provide consultation on medication storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions

  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions

Requirements of the Pharmacist
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree required
  • Licensed by the state pharmacy board
