Travel RN – Pediatrics (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care on a combined Pediatric and Oncology unit with 19 total beds (13 pediatric, 6 oncology)
  • Maintain patient ratios of 1:3, 1:4, or 1:5 depending on census and acuity
  • Operate Alaris infusion pumps and document care using Cerner EMR
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge RNs, respiratory therapists, and patient care technicians
  • Float to PICU or NICU as needed based on unit staffing requirements
  • Fulfill weekend commitment of 6 weekend shifts, including 2 Saturdays, over the course of the assignment

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN licensure in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience in a hospital setting
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current PALS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Pediatric oncology nursing experience
  • APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses) certification
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized work style suited to a fast-paced pediatric environment
