Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring 2+ years of clinical experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

  • Night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 3x12-hour shifts per week
  • PCU setting with a mix of weekday and weekend shifts
  • Epic EMR used for charting; prior Epic experience preferred
  • Floating to lower acuity units may be required
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Current certifications: BLS and IV certification required
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
  • 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the 2nd reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include IV placement and management, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, patient education, and care team collaboration
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • Former employees of the facility are eligible to apply once they have been away for at least 6 months
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract
  • Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
  • Travel experience is a plus; experienced travelers encouraged to apply
