Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down/PCU Staffing Pool position in Asheville, NC, requiring 2 years of experience and a night shift schedule.
Details
- Night shift position with hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- 13-week contract assignment
- Step-Down/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) staffing pool setting
- Located at a large, 815-bed regional referral hospital and Level II trauma center in Asheville, NC
Requirements
- Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of recent Step-Down/PCU experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for PCU RNs
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- The facility has earned Magnet® Designation, Healthgrades America's 50 Best Hospitals recognition (2020–2023), and a Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade of 'A'
- The hospital serves as the region's only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and children's hospital
