Pathology Assistant This position may work at one of three gross room locations: Main Ruby, Children's, or Innovation Corp (opening 7/27). Start time may vary between 0730 to 0900. ASCP Certification as Pathologists' Assistant required. Completion of Pathologists' Assistant program preferred. Experience in academic medical center preferred. Experience with Epic Beaker AP and voice recognition program preferred. Certs: BLS is not required, Certification as a Pathologists Assistant by ASCP Degree: Bachelor's Degree What areas do they cover?: Anatomic Pathology Gross Room Do they need to be a Generalist? No Do they need to perform Phlebotomy? No Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties: Ability to gross simple and complex tissue specimens. How many years of experience is required in specialty? 1 year of experience, They do see an increase in complexity and volume with their cases. LIS System: Epic Beaker AP EMR/Specific Equipment used in each area?: Epic, Cryostat, bone saw, scalpels/knives Shifts & Scheduling: Dayshift with start time of 0730 or 0800 Weekend Requirements: No Holiday Requirements: No Call or Standby Call Requirement: No Scrub Color/Dress Code: Hospital scrubs are provided.
