Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU/Pre-Op/Phase 2 position requiring 3+ years of specialty experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

  • Work in the PACU/Pre-Op/Phase 2 units across two locations within the same hospital system: the main hospital and the Day Surgery Center
  • Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation and 317 staffed beds
  • 1:1 patient ratios
  • Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, with options including 0530-1800, 0700-1930, 0800-2030, 0930-2200, and 1100-2330
  • Weekend shifts required as needed per unit needs
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating required within scope to both the main hospital and Day Surgery Center locations
  • Not eligible for block scheduling accommodations
  • Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system

Requirements

  • Active MN RN license (license in hand preferred; candidates may apply for MN license through the project at time of offer acceptance)
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (NIHSS and PALS preferred where applicable)
  • Minimum 3 years of PACU/Pre-Op/Phase 2 specialty experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Must live 100+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Minimum 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
  • Must have no open cases in background check to proceed

Additional Information

  • Provide comprehensive PACU, Pre-Op, and Phase 2 recovery care across both hospital locations
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Candidates must be gone at least 3 months from their last shift worked as a perm employee (staff or per diem) to be eligible to return
  • RTO should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment
  • Scrub color provided by the unit
  • Facility does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or to those who previously worked as perm staff
