Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring at least one year of Main Hospital PACU experience and pediatric experience.

Details

  • Work in an 8-bay Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within Surgical Services
  • 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio caring for patients immediately following surgery
  • Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • On-call requirement including nights, weekends, and holidays, typically one night per week
  • Weekend and holiday coverage required
  • No block scheduling available
  • Float to like acuities or less as needed

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Minimum one year of Main Hospital PACU experience required
  • Pediatric experience in the OR required
  • Current Nursys report dated within the past 7 days required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Manage patient airways, pain levels, vital signs, and other post-surgical needs before transporting patients to the ASU for continued observation
  • Work within a team-based unit emphasizing patient satisfaction and safety alongside board-certified surgeons and experienced nursing staff
  • Candidates will be reviewed and interviewed by the hiring manager
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
  • RTO must be disclosed at time of submission, with a maximum of 5 days honored at manager discretion
  • Candidates who are former employees of the health system must disclose this in their profile
