Job Summary:
Acute Care Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse position available in a healthcare facility located in Glenview, Illinois. This role involves rotating start times between 8 am and 11 am, with shifts concluding around 8:30 pm. The position requires adapting to a rotating schedule, with a typical workweek of 36 hours across three 9-hour shifts. The ideal candidate has substantial PACU and critical care experience in an acute hospital environment.

- Schedule: Rotating shifts starting between 8 am and 11 am, with end time approximately 8:30 pm. Shifts comprise 9 hours, totaling 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Illinois license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), 3+ years of solid acute care hospital experience, at least one previous travel contract, and submission of a passed electrocardiogram (EKG) test with a score of 80% or higher. Critical care PACU experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior critical care and PACU experience are highly advantageous.
- Floating: Will work main Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and cardiovascular intensive care (CVI) PACU under the same manager/hospital.
- Weekend Requirements: Three weeknights (8 pm 7 am) and one 24-hour weekend per six-week schedule, with a 30-minute callback time.
- On-Call Requirements: Same schedule as weekends, with a 30-minute callback time.
- Holiday Schedule: Rotations are per call schedule.
- Additional Information: Orientation will be 4 hours and non-billable. Credentials are due Wednesday prior to the start date.
