Job Summary
The Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for providing skilled therapeutic services to patients within a healthcare facility's outpatient setting. The role involves delivering treatments and evaluations primarily for musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions, with potential to float within a specified radius. This position requires confidence in clinical skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Job Details
- Location: Wilmington, Illinois, with potential to float within a 5-mile radius
- Schedule: Days shifts, hours vary between 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with some shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, or 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM; 10-hour shifts (8:00 AM to 6:30 PM); majority of shifts are 5 days per week; Fridays 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; 45-minute treatments and 60-minute evaluations (based on diagnosis)
- Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS); Illinois license (pending may be acceptable); minimum of 2 years of experience preferred; outpatient experience preferred; strong teamwork, flexibility, accountability, and adaptability
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience treating patients aged 8-100 with diagnoses including musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions; familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as EPIC; confident clinical skills and ability to maintain same-team continuity
- Additional Information: All new staff undergo day one HR orientation and clinical training over 2-3 days, including charting blocks. The on-site implementation date is scheduled for November 2-3, 2023. The position involves 45-minute treatments and evaluations depending on diagnosis. There may be occasional floating within a 30-minute distance, though rarely required.
