Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring both scrub and circulate skills at a Level II Trauma Center.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a Level II Trauma Center
• Patient mix includes all OR specialties except Open Heart
• 13-week contract assignment
• Evening shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 15:00 to 23:30
• On-call responsibilities required 2 times per schedule
• Floating required within skillset with ratios varying based on census and patient acuity
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Scrubs provided

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care OR experience required
• Must be able to both circulate and scrub
• Robotic and ENT surgical experience required
• Experience in Ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro surgery required
• Level I and Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Submission of work history and Scrub/Circulate skills checklist required
• References required

Additional Information

• Perform both scrub and circulate duties across multiple surgical specialties
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Assignment expected to serve as traveler's primary work schedule
• Previous RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 year before returning for travel assignments
