Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel assignment requiring at least 3 years of recent OR experience, including Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Gyn, and MIS specialties, with on-call responsibilities.
Details
- Operating Room setting within a hospital environment
- Staff are expected to work across a variety of OR specialty areas, including Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Gynecology, and Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS)
- Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- On-call required: weeknights from 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM; weekend call runs from 7:00 AM Saturday through 7:00 AM Monday
- 40-minute response time required for on-call
- Call assignments rotate among staff using a rotating list
- Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
Requirements
- Active KY or Compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience required
- Level I trauma experience desired
- Experience in Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Gyn, and MIS required
- At least 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration — any RTO requested after submission will not be approved
- Candidates must permanently reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility or any affiliated location should be aware that rehire eligibility will be verified prior to placement
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
- No licensure hits of any kind will be accepted by this health system
