Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring recent neuro and ortho surgical experience and call coverage.

Details

• Work in the Surgery department of a hospital operating room setting
• Performs neuro and orthopedic surgical cases, with occasional robotic-assisted procedures
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Schedule runs approximately 6:30am-7:00pm
• Call coverage required
• Uses Cerner EMR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through AHA
• Minimum of 2 years of recent OR nursing experience within specialty
• Expertise in neuro and orthopedic surgical procedures required
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgery preferred
• Cerner EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide circulating and/or scrub nursing support for neuro, ortho, and occasional robotic surgical cases
• Must be versatile and comfortable handling a variety of surgical specialties
• Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff returning as travelers must have a 2-year break in service
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront prior to offer acceptance
