Job Summary:
The Certified Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) position is available in a facility located in Englewood, Colorado. This role involves supporting the surgical team in a busy operating room environment, with responsibilities focused on assisting with neuro, transplant, orthopedic/spine procedures, and trauma cases. The position emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and self-direction, and offers an engaging opportunity to work with advanced equipment and technology.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days, 8 hours shift time, with flexibility for additional evening hours as needed.
- Schedule: 7/27/2026 start date, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months current acute care hospital experience as a Certified Operating Room Technician (OR Tech), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), or equivalent. Certifications required include NBSTA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) and DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies). BLS certification is also required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with orthopedics/joint, level I trauma, or meditech experience will be considered first. Experience with neuro and transplant surgeries is beneficial.
- Additional Information: The unit has 14 operating rooms with approximately 70 full-time staff members. The environment is fast-paced, and the team values high accountability and expertise. Flexibility in scheduling and on-call shifts (1-2 shifts per week from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.) are required. The unit employs Meditech electronic medical records and performs procedures including neuro, transplant, orthopedic/spine, and trauma surgeries.
