Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Covington, Washington. This position involves providing perioperative nursing care during surgical procedures in a facility with 58 licensed beds and three operating rooms. The role offers a 19-week contract for holiday coverage, with opportunities to work with a variety of patient types and procedures. Candidates will be expected to adapt to a clinical environment requiring a versatile skill set and the ability to collaborate effectively with surgical teams.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Days shift, starting at 06:30 or 11:00, depending on the facility need.
• Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS). One year of clinical experience as an Operating Room (OR) nurse. Valid licensure to practice in the state of Washington.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience is strongly preferred but not required. Ability to scrub in addition to circulating is a plus.
• Patient Types: Bariatric, ENT, fractures, general, gynecology, orthopedics, pediatric (ENT), podiatry, robotics, sports medicine, total hips, urology. No neuro or cardiac cases.
• Additional Information:
  • Charting systems used include EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis.
  • Scrubs will be provided.
  • The rotation includes on-call responsibilities on weeknights (Monday-Thursday, once every 1-2 weeks) and weekends (Friday-Monday, once every 4-6 weeks).
  • The typical shift hours are 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • First-time travelers are welcome, but previous travel experience is preferred.
