Description

American Traveler is hiring a chemo-certified RN for an Oncology Infusion Clinic position requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification and at least one year of chemotherapy experience.

Details

  • Work setting is an adult oncology infusion clinic (main infusion center)
  • Patient population includes adult oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, IV infusions, and blood products
  • Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (40 hours per week)
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate required
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
  • Minimum of 1 year of chemotherapy experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Proficiency in IV therapy, infusion management, and medication administration
  • Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Administers chemotherapy, immunotherapy, PO and SC medications, IV infusions, and blood products as ordered
  • Provides patient and family education on chemotherapy, side effects, and clinic procedures
  • Coordinates post-visit follow-up including phone triage and scheduling of follow-up activities
  • Consults with and supports physicians, including during conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
  • Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may work a maximum of 26 weeks total (including extensions); a 6-month separation period is required before reapplying
  • BSN is preferred but not required
