Job Overview
We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a 14-week contract assignment in Somerville, Ohio. The Occupational Therapist will assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to improve patients' ability to perform daily living and functional tasks.
This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support rehabilitation goals, restore independence, and improve overall patient outcomes in a skilled rehab environment.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients' functional abilities and occupational therapy needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide therapeutic activities to improve daily living skills
Support patients with cognitive, physical, and motor skill rehabilitation
Monitor and document patient progress and treatment outcomes
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab staff
Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and home programs
Ensure compliance with clinical standards, safety protocols, and care guidelines
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Requirements
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of Ohio or eligible compact license
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (OTD or MOT equivalent)
Current CPR/BLS certification (if required by facility standards)
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred in rehab, skilled nursing, or acute care settings
Strong understanding of functional rehabilitation and ADL training
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Strong communication and patient education skills
