Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered. Special Information: -Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination -May be asked to precept, as needed by the unit OT - OP/IP Productivity: 24 units in an 8 hour day Serve a 25-bed critical access hospital treating skilled nursing patients with an average length of stay of 14 days. They will also float to outpatient care within the same facility, as it all falls under one hospital license. We will accept new graduates, provided they have at least six months of experience. Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties: 6 mo. experience in Skilled/Acute setting and some Outpatient experience General Certification Requirements :BLS Other Certs Required for all PT: Texas and national license Common diagnosis / Types of patients: SNF- General, wounds, ortho, neuro, Debility The occupational therapist (OT) delivers quality therapy services to patients by performing evaluations and developing individual treatment plans and goals to maximize functional outcomes. The OT is responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice following the guidelines of the State of Texas Board of Examiners for Occupational Therapy. The OT actively participates in discharge planning, implements the treatment program, and reassesses treatment results. Services are delivered within the framework of an interdisciplinary team approach, including significant others, and the patient. These services are delivered in compliance with St. Joseph Regional Rehabilitation Center's mission, ethical standards, and policies and procedures. No tech in Madisonville Department-specific orientation: Pathways learning will be assigned during onboarding, along with onsite education and shadowing for site/documentation orientation
