Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry.
  • Design functional treatment programs that support patients in progressing toward discharge and returning to community activities within an established length of stay.
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
  • Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
  • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements while upholding professional and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Lymphedema treatment experience is required.
  • Proficiency in outpatient occupational therapy evaluation and treatment.
  • Ability to complete documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
  • Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and safe patient handling practices.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience supervising or mentoring therapy students in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated involvement in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies in a clinical environment.
