Travel – Occupational Therapist

Bradenton, Florida

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | Onsite

• Provide occupational therapy evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning across both the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) and acute care units
• Manage a caseload of approximately 4 patients per day on the IRF unit and 8–12 patients per day in acute care
• Participate in team conferences and provide family training as part of the care continuum
• Recommend and implement adaptive devices and adaptive equipment to support patient independence
• Document patient care accurately using the facility's EMR system (Meditech)
• Work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with permanent hospital staff, with a minimum of one weekend shift per month required

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) state license in good standing
• Active BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience
• Willingness and ability to work on an IRF unit
• Weekend flexibility with availability for rotating weekend and holiday shifts
• Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills

• Prior hospital and/or inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) experience highly preferred
• Experience with stroke and/or neurological patient populations
• Collaborative, flexible, and team-oriented work style

• Work within a well-resourced therapy department featuring two therapy gyms and an ADL apartment, supported by an experienced team of 15 occupational therapists
• Gain valuable experience at a Level II Trauma Center with both a 28-bed IRF and a large acute care hospital, offering diverse clinical exposure
