Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Detroit, MI. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily skills while working in a hospital setting. This role involves assessment, individualized treatment planning, participation in interdisciplinary teams, discharge planning, supervision of COTAs and students, and documentation consistent with department policy.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active Michigan Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience in an acute care or hospital-based setting preferred.
  • Experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants or students preferred.
  • Ability to perform patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document according to facility policy.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with safe patient handling techniques and infection control practices.
  • Prior experience with discharge planning and family/caregiver training.
