Job Title: Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Occupational Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 16:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute rehabilitation experience required License: California License required Certifications: BLS certification required (issued by AHA) Must-Have: Experience in inpatient acute rehabilitation, specifically in neuro therapy Description: We are seeking an experienced inpatient acute rehabilitation occupational therapist. Candidates must have neuro experience and a minimum of 2 years of acute rehabilitation experience. The role requires working from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with two full weekends each month. Experience in a complex patient population is necessary, including diagnoses such as stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, cancer rehabilitation, complex orthopedic cases, and more. The unit specializes in a diverse range of challenging cases and has a large interdisciplinary team. Candidates should possess skills in adaptive equipment assessment, cognitive assessment, CVA rehabilitation, electrical stimulation, patient education, pre-discharge planning, safety and injury prevention, wheelchair evaluation, and more. Applicants must provide references obtained within the last year and may be required to disclose any relevant work history. Compliance documents will need to be submitted and verified as part of the application process. Max requested time off is 7 days per contract, with specific holidays designated for time off requests.
