Job Overview

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week contract assignment in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The OT will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help patients improve independence in daily living activities and functional mobility.

This role requires strong clinical expertise, experience in rehabilitation settings, and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams.


Key Responsibilities

Evaluate patients functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide occupational therapy interventions to improve daily living skills
Support patients with mobility, cognition, and self-care activities
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Document patient evaluations, progress, and outcomes accurately
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation staff
Educate patients and families on therapy strategies and home programs
Ensure compliance with clinical standards and facility policies


Requirements

Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Massachusetts required
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility standards
Minimum 1 year of OT experience preferred (rehab or skilled nursing setting preferred)
Strong communication and patient-centered care skills
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge of rehabilitation best practices and documentation standards
