Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Occupational Therapist Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 year Home Health experience required License: Must have an active state license Certifications: BLS (AHA) required Must-Have: Valid driver's license and car insurance COVID vaccination required Description: The Occupational Therapist evaluates the needs of assigned patients. Establishes goals and provides interventions to assist the patient in achieving independence with activities of daily living. Effectively and professionally interacts with patients, significant others, and other health care team members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assess, plan, treat, evaluate, and implement a plan of care for all clients seen. Demonstrates understanding of the admission process and treatment costs. Practices under the established standards of care and code of ethics. Works in collaboration with the physician. Provides supportive supervision of therapy assistants and students. Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing error prevention habits. Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients and coworkers. Completes documentation of all patient care activities in a timely manner in the electronic medical record. Develops professional skills by participating in continuing education and in-service offerings. Uses written resources to keep current with advancements in the field. Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Upholds professional standards and responsibilities by applying evidence-based interventions. Ability to transfer and position patients required. Includes weekend rotation work as applicable.
