Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Inpatient Rehabilitation Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:30 - 16:00) Experience: 2 years required; first-time travelers accepted License: State OT license Certifications: NBCOT, BLS required Must-Have: - Strong spine/neuro experience - Comprehensive memory care and multiple diagnosis experience Description: Every third Saturday is required. Holidays may be required as scheduled. Floating may be required within the specialty. Scrubs required: Black bottoms with red or black tops. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily census and number of rooms and beds will vary. The unit provides interdisciplinary support such as physical therapy and interpretation services. Patients may have spinal cord injuries and various neurological disorders. Special procedures and equipment specific to the unit may apply. Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope without restrictions. Compliance onboarding is required, including lab tests to be completed within 72 hours after signing. Max time off requests are limited to seven days. Most units will allow for one major holiday off during the winter season. Candidates must possess strong skills in adaptive equipment, adult rehabilitation, discharge planning, and patient education. Travelers typically must be away for at least six months before returning to their previous assignment. All former staff must be gone for 12 months before reapplying. Most locations will allow for one contract extension, after which a six-month break is required.
