Key Responsibilities of the Travel Occupational Therapist:
  • Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for patients to improve mobility, independence, and quality of life
  • Use therapeutic techniques to restore physical, cognitive, and emotional function
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans
  • Educate patients and families on exercises, adaptive equipment, and home modifications
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital and regulatory standards
Requirements of the Travel Occupational Therapist:
  • Active Occupational Therapy license (Alaska)
  • NBCOT certification required
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent OT experience in a hospital, rehab, or outpatient setting
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
