Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Occupational Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 32 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: Must be licensed in good standing as an Occupational Therapist or hold a valid license from another state while awaiting licensure. Certifications: Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Current BLS. Must-Have: Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Occupational Therapy. Evidence of professional conduct, patient care ethics, and respect for cultural diversity. Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff and members of a different culture. Description: Provides full-time, quality outpatient and inpatient occupational therapy care. May include some work at a local Long Term Care facility. Treats all patient age ranges and diagnoses within the occupational therapy scope of practice. Incorporates evidence-based medicine into patient plans of care. Modifies patient care plans appropriately, using age-specific and patient-specific considerations. Supports the mission of the organization. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret occupational therapy periodicals and medical literature. Ability to compose patient care documentation and medical correspondence. Ability to travel to villages for patient care. Equipment includes standard occupational therapy department environment with necessary therapeutic equipment. Requires effective communication skills for collaboration with medical providers. Periodic self-assessment required. Immunization requirements include: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, T-Dap, and Polio. Alternatively, titers and/or historical shot records are acceptable. Must provide copies of photo ID, Social Security Card, professional license, education or transcripts where required, and background check results. Additional requirements include completion of competency checklist and report for all alias names. Proof of completed COVID vaccinations is required.
