Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy Specialty: Occupational Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care setting License: Active state licensure required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Minimum 6 months current acute care occupational therapy experience Description: Position available for an occupational therapist on a day shift. Every other weekend is required. Join a team of 15-20 therapy staff across multiple disciplines. The unit consists of 41 beds with a current staff of 3 occupational therapists and 3 certified occupational therapy assistants. Successful candidates will carry a maximum treatment load of six hours during an eight-hour shift. Knowledge of equipment such as electrical stimulation units, patient lifts, activities of daily living (ADL) equipment, and intradisciplinary activities is required. Electronic medical record experience preferred. Candidates should possess prior experience in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting. Additional certifications in lymphedema and neuro-related experience are preferred. The ideal candidate is a flexible team player with hands-on treatment expertise. Clinicians must track time to ensure compliance with patient therapy requirements. New, state-of-the-art technology is available in a contemporary facility.
