Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Ada, OK. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients in a skilled nursing setting regain or improve daily living skills. This role involves evaluating patients, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, documenting clinical progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Oklahoma OT license required to start the assignment.
  • Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required.
  • Experience in long term care (LTC) or rehab required.
  • Current resume required at time of submission.
  • Skills checklist within 1 year required.
  • 0-1 reference required at time of submission.
  • New graduates considered only if they have Level II fieldwork experience, not solely Level I observation experience.
  • Ability to document in electronic medical records and accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to supervise and support Occupational Therapy Assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed.


Preferred Qualifications

  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC preferred.
  • Experience with standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: 8 hour days, 35 GWW.
  • Weekend requirement: None.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary Occupational Therapy interventions for patients with cognitive and/or ADL functional impairments. Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions. Deliver ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices as indicated. Communicate patient progress and barriers with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members. Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, and required trainings. Adhere to NBCOT and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and professional ethics.
