Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Rolla, MO working in a home health setting. Provide coordinated, patient-centered care in patients' homes across the lifespan. Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care to help patients develop, regain, or maintain independence in activities of daily living. Evaluate occupational roles and performance for patients with physical, psychosocial, and cognitive impairments. Teach patients adaptive techniques and use of assistive equipment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and document patient status and progress in accordance with payer and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program with a Bachelor of Science, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license for the state of Missouri required to start the assignment.
- Minimum two years of OT experience in acute care or rehabilitation settings required; experience delivering care in home health or community settings preferred.
- Proof of current CPR certification required.
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance required. Ability to travel locally and provide care in patient homes.
- Demonstrated ability to perform clinical assessment, develop and revise Plans of Care, and document progress notes and phone orders in a timely manner.
- Experience with fabrication and maintenance of adaptive equipment and hand splints required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for home health visits including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing/walking.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with infection control practices and universal precautions in home care.
- Familiarity with home-based adaptive equipment, environmental modification assessments, and functional mobility training.
- Strong time management and organizational skills. Effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.
Assignment Details
- Shift Days: 5x8 schedule.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally to patient homes.
- Must be able to lift and perform hands-on patient care during home visits.
