Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Occupational Therapy license Certifications: Active BLS certification Must-Have: Weekend flexibility Willingness to work on IRF unit Critical thinking and clinical reasoning Description: We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide quality care in a rehabilitation services setting. The therapy staff services the entire facility. We have 28 bed IRF and a 383 bed acute care hospital with an average census of 240. Our team consists of 15 Occupational Therapists, including full-time, part-time, and PRN staff. You will work with a patient ratio of 4 patients per day for the IRF and 8-12 patients per day for acute care. Facilities include two therapy gyms and an ADL apartment. We utilize Meditech as our EMR system. Evaluation, treatment, discharge, team conferences, and family training are typical procedures performed on the unit. Experience with adaptive devices and equipment is preferred. Our ideal candidate is flexible, a team player, and highly collaborative. A minimum of one weekend shift per month is required, with a preference for increased weekend flexibility. Candidates with hospital or IRF experience, especially in stroke or neuro care, will be prioritized. Travelers are expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
