Weekly Pay: $2800
Schedule: Day Shift | 4x10s (Typically Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Tacoma, WA. This role focuses on providing specialized wound and ostomy care across multiple inpatient facilities, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Load
  • 5 – 15 patients per day (based on consults and caseload)
  • Work alongside 3–4 other Wound Care RNs
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive wound and ostomy assessments
  • Manage and coordinate wound care treatment plans
  • Provide consults and recommendations in alignment with care plans
  • Treat a variety of conditions including:
    • Ostomies, fistulas, and draining wounds
    • Pressure, arterial, vascular, and diabetic ulcers
    • Surgical and trauma-related wounds
    • Skin integrity and continence-related conditions
  • Manage wound vac therapy (Smith & Nephew systems)
  • Document care, support billing, and coordinate discharge supplies
  • Utilize mobile devices for photo documentation
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on wound care best practices
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
✅ Required Qualifications
  • Active Washington RN License
  • BLS Certification
  • CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse) – Required
  • Experience in wound care and ostomy management
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
  • WOCN or WCC (NAWCO) Certification
  • Strong background in inpatient wound care
  • Previous travel experience (not required)
Scheduling & Additional Info
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday (No weekends)
  • No call or holiday requirement
  • Floating to other facilities may be required (planned in advance when possible)
