Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of previous experience required; first-timers accepted. License: Must hold an active license. Certifications: BLS required; WTA certification preferred. Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience required. - Must be 100% nicotine-free. Description: The Wound Ostomy Clinic offers specialists in a variety of disciplines to assist in the healing of wounds. The clinic strives to minimize or eliminate any factors that may hinder proper wound healing. Our services include comprehensive wound care and patient education. We provide care for chronic wounds that do not respond to other treatments. In addition, we offer ostomy services, including pre-surgical marking, education, post-surgical follow-up, and counseling. Certified foot, ostomy, and wound care nurses provide specialized care tailored to each patient. The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts are required. Types of wounds treated include chronic wounds, diabetic wounds, pressure wounds, vascular wounds, and non-healing surgical wounds. Comprehensive medical evaluations and treatment plans are developed for our patients. We utilize negative pressure wound therapy, compression therapy, biological dressings, and skin substitutes. Coordination for advanced surgical or medical care is available if needed, along with hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The clinic also addresses ostomy-related issues including education, marking prior to surgery, and managing complex appliance situations. A strong emphasis is placed on patient and family teaching for wound care management. Our dedicated team collaborates to ensure each patient receives the best care possible. All candidates must be committed to maintaining a nicotine-free environment. This position does not require previous clinic experience but does require wound vac experience. Home health experience is acceptable.
