Job Title: Wound Care Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:30 - 16:00) Experience: 2 years in Wound Care License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, WOCN Must-Have: 2 years of experience in Wound Care nursing First-time candidates accepted Description: This position is for a Wound Care Registered Nurse (BSN). The shift is 5 days a week from 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM. Weekend coverage is not required. On-call duties are not required. The clinician will not float between different units. Candidates may float to similar units as necessary. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Wound Care nursing is required. Experience in pediatrics is highly preferred. BLS and WOCN certifications are required, but continence certification is not necessary. The facility is a teaching hospital with magnet status and is a Level 1 trauma center. The total number of staffed beds is 865. Scrubs will be provided by the facility. The charting system used is Epic. There is a one-time parking fee of $20 for a parking pass. Candidates must submit all requests for time off at the time of submission. Approval for time off will be subject to unit needs. The facility allows for one shift to be called off every two weeks. The patient population will include adults and pediatrics, addressing various wound care needs. The role includes advanced wound care management and ostomy care. Wound care procedures will require WOCN certification, excluding continence certification. All candidates must be compliant with local regulations. Candidates with a pending South Carolina RN License will be considered. It is important to note that this position does not allow for multiple submissions to different units. Travelers should be prepared for possible emergency assignments during hurricane season. The hurricane season runs from June through November. This position requires compliance with specific job-related criteria and responsibilities.
