The unit has 30 beds and approximately 85 staff members. The day shift includes 1 CNC/Relief Charge, and the number of RNs and PCTs varies based on census. The night shift also includes 1 CNC/Relief Charge with variable staffing based on census. Patient ratios are 2:1 for ICU and 4:1 for PCU. The unit utilizes critical care equipment and technology such as EMR. Typical procedures performed include wound care, codes, EVDs, and MTP. Candidates must possess trauma, burn, or surgical ICU experience. Preferred qualifications include a BSN and CCRN. A team-oriented personality with a willingness to ask questions and assist others is essential. Shifts require a commitment to working two weekends per pay period.
