Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in transplant.
The RN will work in the transplant intermediate care unit.
The shift is 3x12 hours, from 07:00 to 19:30.
Every other weekend is required.
The RN will also need to be available for every other holiday.
Floating may be required within the specialty and sister locations as needed.
The RN should possess skills in managing ports and arterial lines.
Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and blood product administration is necessary.
Qualifications include cardiovascular telemetry and care of ventilated patients.
The position requires knowledge of central line care and management.
Experience in hemofiltration and hemodialysis management is expected.
The RN should be proficient in interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.
Management of patients on cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration is essential.
The RN must also manage non-invasive airway devices and oxygen administration.
Additional skills include wound care and the use of rapid response/code teams.
The RN will work primarily with adult and geriatric patient populations.
