Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry / PCU / Stepdown - $2,380 per week in Newport, VT

- Full 12‑hour shifts
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Typically 3 shifts per week
- Schedule may vary based on unit needs, but nights are fixed
- Every other weekend (EOW) is mandatory
- You will work Saturday & Sunday nights every second weekend
- Nurse must float to other units (PCU, Med-Surg, Telemetry, or other hospital areas) depending on staffing needs during the shift
- Provide high‑quality patient care to PCU, Med-Surg, and Telemetry patients.
- Monitor and manage patients requiring cardiac telemetry and continuous observation.
- Perform charge nurse duties, including unit oversight and coordination when assigned.
- Work independently in a 25‑bed critical access hospital environment.
- Float to other units (Med-Surg, PCU, Telemetry, and others) as needed based on staffing.
- Conduct patient assessments, administer medications, and implement care plans.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Cerner EMR.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control.
- Respond to patient changes rapidly and escalate care appropriately.
- Participate in quarterly education sessions required by the department.
- Provide care during holiday shifts as required.
- Support a safe, effective, and compassionate patient environment.
