Key Responsibilities
Monitor and assess patients on a telemetry unit, interpreting cardiac rhythms and responding to changes in patient condition
Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact licensure
Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Demonstrated experience in telemetry or cardiac monitoring
Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in a telemetry or step-down unit setting
Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Strong critical thinking and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
