Travel RN – Cardiac Telemetry (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for cardiac and medical-surgical patients across all age groups
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
- Demonstrate competence in drug titration and operation of telemetry monitoring equipment
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards
- Float on a rotational basis as required by unit needs
Required Qualifications- Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or hold an active Missouri RN license
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Telemetry experience
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start date
- Demonstrated competence in drug titration
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1
Preferred Experience / Skills- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Additional cardiac nursing experience beyond the minimum requirement
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR and Alaris infusion pumps
