Travel RN – Ortho Neuro (Telemetry), Nights

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (19:00–07:00) | 13-Week Assignment | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to perform direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for orthopedic and neurological patient populations
  • Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
  • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
  • Perform drug titration and telemetry monitoring in accordance with established clinical guidelines
  • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in compliance with applicable standards
  • Float on a rotational basis as required by unit needs
Required Qualifications
  • Current RN license; must be eligible for or currently hold licensure in the state of Missouri
  • Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
  • Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start date
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Inpatient orthopedic nursing experience
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR and Alaris infusion pumps
