Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive, quality patient care to patients of all ages utilizing the nursing process on a 30-bed Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition
- Incorporate educational requirements and competencies specific to the care of cardiac patients
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6, ensuring safe and effective care delivery
- Float to Med/Surg and remote Telemetry units as required
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1–2 years of Telemetry and/or Step-Down experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Ability and willingness to float to Med/Surg and remote Telemetry as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Experience with cardiac patient populations in a step-down or telemetry setting
