Travel RN – Telemetry / Acute Med/Surg

San Marcos, Texas

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment

• Provide routine and complex nursing care for an Acute Med/Surg patient population including orthopedic, colorectal, urology, sepsis, small bowel obstruction, and geriatric/gynecology cases.
• Utilize the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned patients in accordance with professional scope and standards of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families consistent with level of practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources.

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — American Heart Association only.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification — American Heart Association only.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Telemetry or Acute Med/Surg nursing specialty.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience caring for orthopedic, colorectal, urology, or sepsis patient populations.

• Gain valuable travel nursing experience in a dynamic Acute Med/Surg and Telemetry setting with a diverse patient population.
• 13-week contract with a projected start date in summer 2026, offering a defined and flexible engagement.
