Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Medical Surgical / Solid Organ Transplant

Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 or 26 week options available) | Nights (4x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hour per week options | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical surgical, telemetry, and progressive care to adult pre- and post-transplant patients (liver, kidney, pancreas, intestinal) as well as intestinal rehabilitation patients on a 36-bed unit
- Administer and manage IV drips as required across all floors
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
- Float within scope to meet facility staffing needs across multiple units and campuses as required
- Adhere to patient ratios of 1:6 on nights, with awareness that ratios may occasionally reach 1:7 based on staffing needs
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nebraska license required; pending license accepted if not yet in hand at time of submission — placement will be booked six weeks out)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, specifically in a large, urban hospital setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency with EPIC charting
- Ability to manage IV drips
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
- Prior experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center (required for first-time travelers to be considered)
