Contract | Onsite | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to an adult and geriatric patient population on a telemetry unit with a 1:4–5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EMR and communicate effectively using SBAR methodology
• Administer and manage medications utilizing Pyxis dispensing system
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Adhere to holiday and weekend scheduling requirements, including working assigned major holidays and every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements; all compliance documents must be submitted by the Tuesday prior to start date
• All requested time off (maximum 7 days per contract) must be finalized at time of submission — no RTO or schedule requests accepted post-offer or post-start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Prior travel nursing experience in a telemetry or cardiac step-down setting
